HEALTH AND SAFETY

The health and safety of our staff and clients is of the utmost priority. If you are suffering from any contagious infection, we ask that you reschedule your appointments in accordance with Alberta Health Services recommendations. We also require that employees wear a face mask at work for a minimum of a week following time off from being sick. Clients being rescheduled for sickness are exempt from the cancellation policy.

 

LATECOMER

Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late are subject to rescheduling and paying a 24-hour cancellation fee. This is also up to the discretion of the stylist, however, appointments will end at the originally specified time.

 

CANCELLATION & NO SHOW 

Cancellations within 24 hours of a scheduled appointment are subject to a charge of 25% of the booked service.

First time No-Shows are subject to a charge of 50% of the booked service. Repeated no-shows are subject to a 100% charge of the booked service.

Extenuating circumstances may be considered for cancellations or no-shows but must be approved by a manager before an exception can be made.

REDOS 

In the event that a client is dissatisfied with their services, Folk Tale will offer the individual a complimentary redo appointment to allow us the opportunity to correct the service. Redo services will be offered with the original stylist, however, if the client is uncomfortable with seeing the same stylist, they may be booked with a different stylist.

  

RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE 

Our establishment has the right to refuse service to anyone who is under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, behaves inappropriately with our staff, or can pose a threat to our business. An employee may also refer to a manager to aid them in refusing service.
